I sort of cared about gamerscore when I owned a 360 (reading what achievement I got was good) but not enough for me to buy avatar: the last airbender just to get the easiest 1000 or so achievement points.
I don't care now though on my PS3 because I realise now that achievements/trophies aren't a measure of skill, it's more how long you've been playing the game and how much you're willing to be the developers bitch (for trying to complete ridiculous achievements you wouldn't do in the game otherwise)
