You have one big problem with this statment attcks are not controlled by motion only finishing moves...

 

That and even if it was, why is that worse than other button masher action games typical of consoles for years... using just standard waggle is not a downgrade from buttons for a lot of things, melee type actions in particular standard waggle is an upgrade.

Then of course you can have better programmed full motion control (ie not just flicking left) for more specific things too.
