You know how people hate when someone says something on the lines of a "My game is better than your game"?

Well, I hate when people act like Valve can do no wrong.

I can sit here with a straight face and say I found Portal to be one of the most boring game I have played last year. I think the only Valve game I have found pure enjoyment out of is TF2. I have still yet to play L4D so I can't comment on that.

People can quote me and tell me how ignorant I am, or how Portal was soooo awesome, etc... but I could care less.

If he refuses to make games for PS3 that is his prerogative (sp?), he has every right to not like it. Just like many in here have every right to think Valve is an overrated developer.

Well spoken. Like Khuutra said, "Agreed in principle". Might I ask what you didn't like about Portal?

To be honest it was always hard for me to put my finger on it. I think puzzlers just are not my style. My brain doesn't like to do much thinking when I game.

I gave the game around 2 hours or so playtime, no idea how long it is but it just never "grabbed" me if you know what I mean.

Team Fortress 2 on the other hand grabbed me right away. Makes me wish I never sold Orange Box to help pay off Fable II.

Ah. Yea I can understand that. That's what I loved about Portal. A very very well executed puzzler in the first person view, with an excellent story & story telling to boot.

I also just realized this. If you have a PS3 and want to play Valve games, why not just buy them for PC? Fanboys constantly argue about 360/PC mutiplat-exclusivity and the point is often brought up that the games can be played on PC. Valve's Source Engine isn't too demanding so why don't PS3 only owners play it on PC? My 5 year old "rig" can still run their latest games (L4D) at 30+ FPS with pretty much everything set to max at 1650 x 1050 resolution.

I tend to play Valve's games on PC regardless of there being PS3 or 360 ports. The way the engine handles user inputs just feels perfect for KB + Mouse.
