| Nebnosneh said: What you are saying is true BrainBox, but I think they might for a couple of reasons. Firstly the Wii's momentum is not as strong in Japan as elsewhere so Nintendo will want to do what they can to turn that around and second Nintendo is very agressive about protecting their position in the market from competitors and as such will want to stay 'ahead' of the competition (see E3 2008 for proof of this, basically everything they did there was a reaction to rumors of a xbox motion controller.) |
Oh I agree on both points, and I suggested at E3 they had actually pre-maturely announced Motion Plus and Wii Sports Resort in response to the rumors of the Lotus controller being on the 360. (Wii Sports Resort was the only major 2009 announcement other then China Town Wars, which isn't made by Nintendo.)
But, I think it'd make more sense to them to just bundle the motion plus add-on. If they were to intergrate, they'd be perssured to do it in the current Wii Remote. If this intergration changed it shape or size, it may screw up compatability with the Guitar Hero Controllers, the Zapper, the Wheel and cause a lot of trouble. It'd be cheaper and safer just to continue the actual attachment then redesign the Wii Remote late into the Wii's life cycle to include built in.
