You guys who have been gaming since the 3rd/4th generations (or even before them)...

I've been a huge gamer since NES days though I owned both an Atari and NES, and have owned just about every console to release after that.

For me the PS1/N64 gen was an amazing leap in gaming with everything being turned towards 3D gaming, and because of that there were a lot of companies taking chances with their game designs some working amazing some not so much, but when people started to figure out what the big boys were doing like OoT with Z targeting, the next gen Xbox, GC, and PS2 was much more of the same games just with fixes, little innovation and quite frankly by the end of the gen I was bored to tears but that's why I was hardcore into PC gaming last gen.

This gen it all started with the DS and I saw how creative games were getting and it gave me much of the same feel that the NES/ SNES/Gen/N64/PS1 gave me when I opened them up, not knowing what to expect, and then being pleasantly surprised, Nintendo continued that with the Wii and much to my surprise how much Motion + IR can change gaming and make it fresh and entertaining once more, couple that with Wii having my favorite SNES/NES/Gen/N64 games and my PS3 covering the few and far between games I really enjoy playing with a normal controller or the exclusives to PS3 like LBP and this generation is by far better then last and is up there with the SNES/Gen generation.
