Yep defo over 60 million by the end of this year.
As for lifetime it'll easily go over 100 million shipments. By region though is where we need to do the major breakdown. It's expanded Japan so much that there is no telling where it could end up at. Hell that thing could ship close to 50 million units in Japan alone before it starts hitting the point of diminishing returns.
As for Europe/Other it'll definetly go pretty high there as its become a pretty strong market for the DS. I'm seeing somewhere around 40-45 million shipped there.
America is really where ya see sales being slow but of course GBA still probably takes 50-70k sales away every month. About 15k a week. Not to mention it also has a competitor there this time around that's making not too bad of a move. DS is pretty untouched in Japan, Europe, and other but in America PSP has'nt done so bad.
But I do think by the end of DS's lifecycle that it can get upwards of what GBA had that's about 40-45 million shipped.
So were looking at about 130-140 million units shipped of this thing haha. That's quite a bit. The thing is quite a monster and the only thing that could keep it from getting those numbers is Nintendo releasing a new handheld early on it.
