I carry mine in my left trouser pocket as well. Not too worried about my genitalia, but there's a pretty damn big artery right next to it. Hmm... actually the pocket is big enough that it's generally hanging on one of my thigh muscles. Wouldn't be nice to have it blow up, but at hopefully not lethal. =P
Seriously though, seven cases in six years in all of China? That's not bad at all, especially since most phones there are probably cheaper models that are no longer sold in the West, or wouldn't even pass safety regulations in the first place.
