@ onyxmeth, pretty incriminating evidence... but many of them aren't ridiculous. In my defence I did ignore many of those which I had barely heard of so I didn't bother questioning whether some of the vapourware was coming. With those games, where we had no idea about how far their development had come, we just assumed that there would be a 2008 release, and we were obviously wrong, but with most of the game which I listed there is some evidence for a 2009 release (possible):

GT 5: Someone senior at SCEE said it is "likely" to come by Christmas 2009, and I remain hopeful, though there is of course evidence to the contrary

Heavy Rain: We now have some detail on the game, so it is likely to come 2009. Here I could be completely wrong, but this topic is about other websites talking about their most anticipated games, and Heavy Rain is generally regarded as being a 2009 game, but that is probably guesswork. We are starting to see gameplay footage, and it has come out of hiding to some degree, but that is still a guess

Final Fantasy XIII: Well that is coming 2009 in Japan, and 2010 elsewhere, we know that

God of War 3: Well that is probably 2010, but people are just assuming as SCE SM have had little to do since 2 that they have got somewhere with that, but I still think a 2009 release is probable.

I would assume you just forgot to remove KZ 2 from the quote, and aren't doing a John Lucas in presuming it will be cancelled a week before release (he said MGS 4 would never release on PS3). There is also of course the next Ratchet game to get hyped about if we are looking at fanboy lists

About Killzone 2, I just meant that it appeared two years in a row on lists, exactly like I thought it would have. I know it's coming out on it's date. I hope you're getting it so I can see you online.

All I'm saying is that yes, Sony has lots of exclusives always. They will always win the January/February argument because of how many games get announced so early and have years of hype building them up. However, that doesn't really mean they're all coming out just because a big list is created. Your analysis on their chances is pretty spot on, and what I think is pretty similar. I have a feeling God of War III and GT5 are getting pushed into 2010, Heavy Rain is highly probable for 2009 and FF XIII shouldn't even count unless the person making the list is actually purchasing an import copy to play. Otherwise who cares about it releasing in another region? I sure don't.

Sorry for the incriminating evidence. I just searched and that was what came up on top. You being in that thread was a bonus. Don't worry though. You look through anyone's post history, including mine, and I'm sure you'll find some contradicting or hypocritical remarks. You know I love you.

Of course I am getting KZ, already got my pre-order in, have you joined the clan yet?

How many games did M$ announce during the course of last year? We knew Gears of War 2 was coming, the same with Fable, and nobody cares about Lips or Scene it... As I have said before, the difference is that Sony has tons of first party studios, so is likely to come up with one or two new ones each year, and they can have the indefinitely delayed games as well, as they do manage to release 3 or 4 great games every year. Though thank god for Insomniac and ND (to a slightly lesser extentent) somehow those studios always release their games on time, yet SE are going to delay forever, Polyphony are the most annoying company ever, and I do have slightly more sympathy for Santa Monica. I count Final Fantasy because this website is a sales orientated one, and that is going to have a major impact, though it should not be appearing on the most anticpated game lists of websites

However, I do fear next Jan we will be touting God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3
