On a more serious note. I'm sad that we haven't seen more games like these. Quake 3 and UT2004 are still the best entries (cept UT2004 is better than Q3) and it's already effing 2009.
My theory is that people just suck. I've always heard people bashing Q3 and UT about how there absolutely no skill required and all you do is press the space bar. Then i get them in a game and of course I get a good 20-0 or in a public game they are at the bottom. Truth is these 2 games are the only 2 FPS games out right now that require more skill than just dumb luck (the one where you manage to get 2 hit-scan shots on a guy in his back just because you ended up there). I guess all those "hardcore" players are really just pussies in disguise.
