Funny thing as people were only mentioning games. Games take a lot of time to develop. A price cut can be done pretty much whenever they want and would probably be a bigger weapon than a whole bunch of games.

I actually have my reasons to think that they should never be more expensive than microsoft's cheapest version of the 360. I think leaving it like this could come back and kick them in the ass later.

EDIT: Ohh yeah. A pokemon MMORPG would also be massive... and I mean massive!!

To be honest I don't think a price cut would improve Wii's sales. People who want a Wii are willing to pay that extra money to get one. Besides Nintendo already commented that this generation hardware prices wouldn't be cut often if at all. I think this strategy is very smart.

Nintendo is appealing to the casual/non-gamer user base and that user base is not hardcore obviously. So they will not be looking at the 360 or PS3. They won't care about the specs and hardware power, they just want something fun to pass the time and the Wii is their ideal way to do so.

As for weapons, I think Nintendo's core games aren't holding up to their names sales wise.As much as I wanna say a new DonkeyKong or StarFox will be the next big weapon I actual doubt it!

The big weapons I forsee (Not what I wanna see)

Nintendogs Wii

WiiFit2

Wiisports 3

MarioParty 9 online

The big weapons I'd want to see

StarFox next gen

New Mario

Earthbound collection (VC or on Disk)

Announced big guns

Pikmin 3

WiiSports Resort

LOZ (name TBA)

Donkey Kong (Name TBA) announced TGS 2005

The Conduit

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other secret weapons

-Colours like Red Blue etc...etc... , usually people buy their console again in the colour of their choice!

- Hard drive (60 Gig or higher)

- New model

- New channels

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In short Nintendo has tons of weapons they can use to keep the Wii selling at the current price. I doubt a price cut will be considered till 2010 when Microsoft is expected to show off their new hardware maybe even as late as 2011 if no new hardware gets shown next year!
