| Gamerace said: Why all the hate? Had a blast playing Boom Blox with a group. But there wasn't nearly enough variety in multiplayer. Ton of single-player but I got bored of that. But I had no problems with the production values. I was totally looking forward to the sequel, until they put 'party' in the name and now I can't buy it. WTF is with 'Party'? The only 'Party' game that sells is Game Party and Mario Party (but MP is hardly new) all the other blah, blah 'Party' sell like crap so why do they keep insisting on slapping it in the name? Won't help sales, in fact, it might hurt them cause now it looks like shovelware crap. |
Hm, you've got a point. Of the twenty or so Wii games with the word 'party' in the title, only four have sold more than Boom Blox:
On the other hand, the word 'party' does reflect this game's emphasis on local multiplayer. I'm still hoping that EA flexes their networking might and includes online play in this sequel. It would be nice to get the joys of multiplayer even when you don't have friends around to play with.
