Because it seems that Square is putting an effort into Versus where as Dirge was a spin off.

And with Versus, they have a lot more freedom with the story being that it's new.



"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."
