There is undoubtedly a lot of truth to this. I'm not sure why some gamers see the need to hate Rare because they are no longer with Nintendo. With the exception of PDZ every game they have released on the 360 has been of high quality. While those who compare the reviews against those on the N64 are apparently unaware of how the review system works. The 360 and N64 were primarily targetted towards different types of gamers - and reviewers target their reviews at these gamers. Lower reviews are therefore not necesarily an indication of lower quality - but that should have been self-evident.
