Why do people keep saying it bombed? We don't even know that Capcom lost money on it. All we know is that they didn't make money on it. Many, many games are considered to be nothing more than break even, and a company like Capcom is usually satisfied to get their games to that point. They got their money back and can try again with a new idea that might catch on better, after all. Chances are, that's exactly where Z&W is - they didn't make enough money to be called profitable but (except possibly that ridiculous ad campaign in Japan) they didn't really lose anything either, and small negative returns are meaningless since they still walk away with an IP, Wii engine resources, and more.
