I could see 6m worldwide lifetime. As has been stated, RE4 did well on PS2 and GC and was still fresh enough to do well on Wii as a motion enhanced port.
The question is how the series will do on Xbox platforms, as its never actually been on Xbox platforms.
GC RE4 did 222k in Japan. PS3/360 RE5 in Japan should be 300k/100k at least lifetime. Preorders suggest the PS3 will have a bigger opening than the GC version in Japan.
