It was a beat'em up staring a guy who swung a big hammer at Robots. The name and videos we saw suggested that you'd only ever be swinging a big hammer at robots. It looked mildly entertaining for a few minutes, but an entire game based on it would be dreadful.

I kind of disagree. It can't be much worse than moving from point A to point B shooting. In the right creative hands(Nintendo) it could work and be a great game. Wii motion plus could make this game possible. Plus I seriously doubt that the only thing to do would be to swing at robots. That's just one video clip. You can't judge any game on one 2 minute clip.
