Resident Evil remake : buying or not ?

I still have REmake for the GC, which I bought in 2002....great game, but I´m not buying the same thing just because of IR pointer.

Now, they MUST provide us with a RE2 remake...it´s by far my favorite 'old school' Resident Evil.
