I had a similar problem hooking up my Wii to the schools network (wired though, not wireless). I originally solved it by getting one of those Nintendo WiFi Connect things that go into your computer, and then can be used with your DS and Wii. After a bit, I realized I really hated it, so I got a router. I then set my router to my computers MAC address, and now my university's network thinks my router is actually my computer, so anything hooking through the router (wired or wireless) is able to access the internet. That's how I have it. I then got one of those USB to ethernet things from Nintendo for the Wii, so now my Wii is wired to the router instead of wireless.
