1 They don't like Japanese games as much as Western games, and as you mentioned the Wii doesn't really do well in that area.

2 They don't like Nintendo games. One of the main appeal of the Wii is 1st party games, and it always has been. If you don't like at least one 1st party series then you most likely won't like the Wii as a console.

3 They are loyal to a brand. This is also could be called being a fanboy. Most of the time these people stick with their company of choice no matter what. They  will defend this console just because of growing up with them. There is nothing wrong with this unless they start bashing other consoles and pointing out the flaws of these consoles because of this.

4 They don't like the Wii's controls. I can't see what is wrong with the Wii's controls, but there are many people who dislike this and dislike the Wii aswell because of this.

5 They don't like the graphical capabilities. Personally I am fine with the graphical capabilities of the Wii, and have been fine with those of the PS2(which are ALOT worse than that of the Wii). There are some who can't have anything less than HD and won't be interested in ANY games on the Wii because of this.

6 They aren't very up-to date on the Wii's library and think that there is only shovelware and nothing else.

7 They think the Wii is for girls and kids just because alot of their friends think that. (I see this alot in school). This is mostly teenagers my age who think this.

Anyway there isn't only one reason why people will dislike the Wii, actually there are tons of them. I could tell you this though that there are tons of reasons to dislike any console and its games, and its ok to do so. That is as long as you don't try to tell somebody they are wrong or made a bad choice for choosing to like such console.
