Gamers who don't like Wii generally:
1) Grew up with 3D games.
2) Are males between ages 10 and 25.
3) Like you said, stick to one or two Western genres.
4) Aren't attracted to new or weird games.
Strange little games always attract me, Parappa the Rappa, Mario Paint, the first Sim City, etc. Nintendo has them in spades this gen, both on DS and Wii.

I'd point you in the direction of XBLA or PSN for weird and innovative games. They certainly outnumber the amount of decent quirky games on the Wii threefold.

weird and unique games on Wii >>>>> better than weird games on traditional controllers...
try imagining Zack and Wiki on a traditional controller.... lame x2

I played Z&W and it would have benefitted greatly from using the nunchuck for control. You don't need motion control or IR to have innovative games, even though the PS3 does have motion control.
The Wii isn't as good overall because it doesn't have quality games in many genres.
