since last year I don't have problem with virus either (got Ubuntu), but I know that it is not an option for everybody (I don't play in PC), but at least use Firefox...
Except for some minors bugs, the only way to get a malware with firefox is trough javascript or downloading and installing it, so just using "noscript", one antivirus and keeping windows updated I think it is almost impossible to get malwares...
