I would agree that you should try to get some kind of expedited transfer if at all possible. Maybe they'll help you even though they hate you, just to get "your kind" out of there.
Either way, if you move out of town, once you're gone, I say burn that fucking bridge to the ground. Sue them, tell a newspaper if you think the public will get pissed, anything. Of course, I don't know the politics in law enforcement (or anything else really), if you're worried about getting blacklisted it might not be worth it.
