I've always been a PC gamer so I'm used to the supposed "HD" graphics that the new HD console gamers are so excited over since PC gamers have that that luxury for way longer than console gamers, so why did I get a Wii? I can honestly tell you that when I play Wii games, I actually smile more often, weird eh? other than that, Wii has great 1st and 3rd party support from Japan which is always what I look for most in a console, because duh, I'm a PC gamer. If you have a 360 or a PS3 already, pick up a Wii anyways, it's not nearly as kiddie as people think, that's all just marketing, just because it's a weaker console, it doesn't mean the games are any less deep when the developers are good. Wii has too many shovelwares due to it's success, so you just have to pick out your games carefully, and there are many more new, and good games coming, it's a good investment imo.

You nailed it my friend. I too am primarily a PC gamer, and to me getting the Wii was a no brainer, I already have the "best" HD console, and while the PC has great controls, the Wii has immersion, and fun for groups. Now I'm not bashing the PS360, they a certainly a good deal if you want HD cheaper than a PC, but to me I want both the best graphics and the best control which is my Wii and my PC. If you already own an HD system get a Wii if you can afford it. Worst case scenario you can always turn around and sell it at cost on eBay. So you really lose nothing by giving it a shot.
