Last year's E3 was a huge disappointment to many, including myself, although with that being said, I did enjoy playing Wario Land:  Shake It and Tales of Symphonia:  Dawn of the New World.  However, with E3 opening up again this year, there's an opportunity for everyone involved to do better.  The question is, will Nintendo do so?

An article posted on GoNintendo.com http://coregamenews.com/2009/01/nintendo-at-e3-09-it-cant-get-much.html certainly hopes so, but already there are people who are anticipating it to be even worse.  Case in point:  the only citations for their arguments that 2009 will be a awful year for Nintendo is the New Play Control upgrades of GCN titles and Sin and Punishment 2 as well as Punch Out!.  Those naysayers believe that these are the only titles that Nintendo has in store?  Please, we've just started the new year and we haven't even got the bulk of what they're doing.

Now I'm not saying I'm a sucker for Nintendo of America.  I don't approve of their decisions to hold off on bringing Disaster Day of Crisis or Fatal Frame IV to America (although the latter may get picked up by another publisher) and I didn't go anywhere near Wii Music OR Animal Crossing Wii (although in all fairness, I haven't played the latter title's previous entries).  But I personally think it's too soon to "jump the gun" and say that they are going to fare even worse this year.

Not that I'm anticipating a better E3 this year, but I feel that making predictions like this when we only know "half" of the story seems a tad pre-mature.
