If they were "copied" i.e patent-infringed, nintendo would definitely have sued. Instead, nintendo themselves have been sued for infringing on other companies patents however stupid those lawsuits have been.
What I'm getting at is, anyone can make bizarre complaints of copying but if you don't win your case in court, it didn't happen. It's time to face reality my friend.
