Mario Kart Wii is one of the first titles almost anyone would buy when picking up a Wii. I know only one person among all my gamer and non-gamer friends who doesn't enjoy Mario Kart Wii (aside from some video game skeptics who refuse to play any games even on the Wii...).
I'm thinking 45 million lifetime.
(for those who think my expectations are too high, I also believe the Wii will be the most successful console ever, have the longest lifespan and be highly successful in emerging(geographical) markets)
