I like this game alot too. I'm not sure where all the hate comes from. Probably some crazy reviewer said something and the internet just jumped on it. It feels like when one major place reviews a game and says something, whether good or bad, everyone starts saying that.
My main complaint with the game is the how everywhere that you need to jump is all scratched up and blatantly obvious and how you have to mash L trigger like 500 times in order to experience the story. These guys have like zero self confidence in their ability to tell a good tale. I hope that the next one integrates the story more. They aren't bad at it so I don't why they felt like they should make it easy to not experience the story and a burden on the player to experience it.
PS, I have to give a god d****. The cops just pulled over like the 4th person in one hour right in front of my window.
