 Dreamcast's most recent officially licensed game is from 2008, it's still alive according to Wikipedia's lifespan definition.  Same with Xbox, it still gets Madden every year.

This definition just doesn't work well. A new game here and there is not something what most people would call "alive". When we talk about the lifespan of a console we usually mean a healthy number of new releases or sometimes for how many years the system was produced by its manufacturer.

 

 A person on life support is "Alive" so as long as there is official support in software it's still alive.  In Brazil they still manufacture Mega Drives.
