Well, I think there's a good chance the PS3 will sell around that. It's currently tracking between the GC and Xbox in America, look how they performed:

The GC already began declining in its 3rd year, due to lack of games / price cuts. While I don't expect PS3 sales to dip that low, note that even the Xbox barely did 4mil in the US during its peak year, when Halo 2 came out.
It really all depends on Sony's moves - the games (GoW3, GT5), the marketing, the price cuts. Of course, there's also the competition - Microsoft can further cut into the PS3 sales, if they wish. If there is no price cut, I expect a decline from last year.
