If you look you look at the sales of the Xbox 360 and the PS3 you will notice that their sales are very comparable to the PS2 initially. So really as far as game consoles go those two systems aren't doing that bad. The Wii isn't just another video game console, it's a whole new experience that appeals to a wider variety of people. Personally, I'm already tired of the Wii but I play games often. I am assuming that a majority of Wii console owners don't play that often and there is still enough games out there to keep the system fresh for those gamers. |
The thing with the PS2 was that it released in Japan long before it released in North America and Europe ... In order to see how other consoles compare to it you should compare the regions independantly:
