I think it is completely fair to include it being a sequel in the equation. If the sequel brings nothing new to the table then it deserves to get dinged. Bioshock scored so well because it was great on so many levels -- graphics, art design, innovation, atmosphere, presentation, controls, etc. etc. etc. MP3 seems to be enough of a departure from MP1 and MP2 (at least from the little bit I've seen and played) that it stands on it's own two feet just fine. |
Well, I agree Bioshock is a great game, but I take issue with it getting 10s. It's not perfect. There are certainly flaws. The glaring ones are: repetitive enemies, too easy, vita chambers, and a game breaking bug that can completely stop you from advancing. These might be relaitvely small complaints considering how amazing the rest of the game is, but they are complaints nonetheless. Unless you can find absolutely NOTHING to complain about, the game does not deserve a 10.
