Hmm i just read it up, currently sony has been able to drop the price of manufacturing by 150-200 us dollars. Now if it was originally 805 with a 600 price tag, sony will be close to breaking even with the 80g, and its hard to believe they would want to drop the price to lose another 100.
This also explains why they want to get rid of the 60s, they lose still a massive ammount of money on each sold, and they hope to break even with the 80 g
