No it's definitely not a typo. Look at the other sentences:

"My guess is that Sony can sell 2 million PS3s per year more than Microsoft in Japan"

"So by the end of 2011, Sony should be (...) ahead by 10 million units in Japan"

 

i dont think ps3 can sell 2 mil more per year, but if games like ff13 and gt5 are released, or similar jap titles then it could be a remote possibility, but even more dependant is the pricing if ps3 manufacturing is lowered to the amount that a major price cut can be given.
