whats the chance of someone like me getting his hands on a wii dev kit?

Very true. Some of the guys I work with on Transient Shift went to Full Sail in Florida, and they had all sorts of dev kits there.

 

@TWRoO - That's what I heard, which is amazingly cheap for a dev kit. Most dev kits usually cost in the range of $15k-$30K

 

You say most as it it were common before this generation.... weren't they like 5-10k last gen, and probably PS1 was cheap too.... dunno about cartridge based systems, would that have an effect?

Good point about this being Wiiware dev kit, I hadn't thought about it likely being different.

 

about 10-15k last gen, still a lot more than 2k for a current gen. Cartridge systems were pretty pricey from what I know, but I wasnt involved in the industry until last gen.
