well agreed.. maybe fail is too strong a word. But thats the point.. theyr telling consumers.. look our console will last you for another 8 yrs(ps3).. the 360 has 2 yrs of life left in it tops.
Which is kind of ridiculous. considering that the 360 will be even cheaper to make 3-4 yrs for now, have 3x the software sales, twice the LIVE users.. there is no reason to kill it off.
Longevity has nothing to do with power/media playback. The SNES was selling well in '98, the gameboy sold for ages.
m$ is 5-6 billion down the crapper with the xbox/360.. they need to recoup at least most of that amount. I dont think they'd launch the 720 till 2012 or kill the 360 before 2014
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

a. a AAA 3D sonic title
b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"
c. redesgined PS controller
d. SEGA back in the console business
e. M$ out of the OS business
