Sakurai (the game's lead designer) said that the characters added must make people want to play the game. So here is the thing: I will post a list of characters and you guys say how much the character would want to make you play the game or not (from 0-10). If the characters makes you want to play, rate them a 10. If the characters would make you not want to play the game, give them a 0. 5 is indifferent. I'm sure you guys can figure out the rest. So, will you amuse my curiousity.
- Toad (Super Mario) 5 - what would his moves be?
- Waluigi (Super Mario) 6 - could be good for some lols, but we have Wario for that
- Bowser Jr. (Super Mario) 4 - He would be a clone of bowser, one of the characters with the least playtime on my game
- Paper Mario (Super Mario) 6- Would be cool I spose, but perhaps better as a costume than a character
- Dr. Mario (Super Mario) 3 - He just took up space and made it more likely for mario to come up on random
- Dr Mario (as a costume) 7 - Why not??
- Dixie Kong (Donkey Kong) 5 - There's enough kong's already
- King K. Rool (Donkey Kong) 6 - Don't know much about him, he seems pretty cool though
- Midna (Legend of Zelda) 9 - On the back of wolf link :D
- Tetra/Toon Zelda (Legend of Zelda) 6 - Don't really see much to be gained
- Ridley(Metroid) 10 - It's ridley, need I say more?
- Dark Samus (Metroid) 9 - Metroid needs more representation
- Helpers (Kirby) - Dunno who that is
- Krystal (Starfox) 7 If she had a unique moveset, 3 if she was a wolf/falco/fox clone
- Slippy (Starfox) 5 - He's a douche
- Mewtwo (Pokemon) 7.5 - He was cool
- Any Pokemon character Depends on who. But I think pokemon has enough representatives
- Samurai Gohor (F-Zero) 8 If they think of some good moves for him
- Black Shadow (F-Zero) 8 If they think of some good moves for him
- Any F-Zero Character 4 - They are clearly not going to put any other character ahead of the two above, and 3 F-Zero characters would be enough
- Roy (Fire Emblem) 10 - Whilst Ike is incredibly badass, I still miss Roy
- Any Fire Emblem character 9 - So many awesome characters in those games
- Mona (Warioware) 5 - Who??
- Ashely (Warioware) 5 - Who??
- Kat &Ana (Warioware) 5 - Who??
- Infantry (Advance Wars) Not worth considering. There will never be a conventional gun in Smash Bros (Sakuri said so)
- Any Advance Wars character 9 - Could be cool, could even be an interesting character along the lines of Captain Olimar. You play as the commander and summon various troops
- Little Mac(Punch-Out) 7 - Sounds good, never played the game so I can't get too excited
- Takamaru (Nazo no Murasamejō) Who?
- Sakupon (Joy Mech Fight) Who?
- Saki (Sin & Punishment) 8 - Who? The game looks cool though
- Issa (Sin & Punishment 2) 8 - Who? The game looks cool though
- Issac (Golden Sun) 10 - I would die a happy man if this happened
- Felix (Golden Sun) 10 - I would die a happy man if this happened
- Bald Karate Man (Rhythm Heaven) Who?
- Mii (Wii) 7 - Could be amusing I spose (as long as they don't ban Hitler from online)
- Mega Man 10 - awesome
- Any Sonic character Tails = 10, Knuckles = 9, Anyone else = 4
- Any third party character How specific :P
So I hope I didn't bog you guys down. I skipped a lot of third party characters since the list was long enough as is. It was long becuase I was try to get every character that had some mention. Let me know if I missed any character importaint.
Oh, and if you are confused, it's all about if the character would interest you, if the character interest you or not. Thanks in advance.
