*sigh* this is a ridiculous thread. If you guys are serious about undestanding some females perspecitves on games I can give you a little info about the female consumers that enter my job (Gamestop employee). Average age is normally around ten. Almost all of the younger females that I have helped during my tenure purchase DS's and DS games. Mostly Sims and Nintendogs. I do get surprised often enough when they buy things like 360 games, but that has only happened twice. Wii games have become a big hit with the younger females, oddly enough Rayman, Cooking mama, and Super Paper Mario being the big hits for that demographic.

The older female gamer is rare but does exsist. They often buy PS2 and 360 games. Mostly shooters too.

Then there is the creepiest female demographic that walks into my store. The angry Girlfriends.

These angry consumers almost never actually buy games, o no, they trade in large amounts of video games and video game consoles. O yes they like to gloat about it as we take in the merchandise and ring it up. Now we can't refuse them because it's product without receipt and the law states that proof of ownership isnt required when taking it in, but if it is stolen, they are responsible, not the store. But often enough this female gamer is quite attractive and is open for dating, (3 phone numbers and one ex-girlfriend and counting!). So for the people who are posting about their need for girlfriends, lookin at you carlos710 (although that is a very futile and creepy measure). Work at a gamestore, and wait for a girlfriend trading in her boyfriends games, works almost every time you sorry sorry boys.
