your insults may not have been directed at me specifically but you did quote me and argue with me when you said them, so yes I took them as being directed at me. If I quoted you and then said "idiots shouldn't be allowed to post" I'm sure you might take that as an insult, or someone would.
Either way I don't recall saying Square owes anyone anything. I merely stated that if the topic start insists on saying that they do, it would be Sony more than Nintendo. The SquareEnix merger wasn't delayed because of SW tanking, that was actually one of the main catalyst for the merger. As for the stock issue, here is the link

and a quote from the article
"What makes this move most significant is that Square approached Sony. According to news reports out today, a spokeswoman for Square explained the firm had approached Sony last month about the capital injection. As Square previously announced, it is likely to post a 10 billion yen net loss for the year through March 2002, down from the 700 million yen profit forecast, and the firm also is looking to recoup approximately 16.4 million yen (about $137 million dollars) in production costs from the making of its Final Fantasy movie, which Sony also helped to produce."
As for the N64, sources such as 1up, EGM, IGN, Nintendo Power and other credible sources have backed up my claim about Miyamoto. But if Sponge says otherwise then they MUST be right. N64 released because it was time for their next console. It wasn't made to prove Sony was wrong about the CD format. Developers even thought Nintendo would be using that format AFTER the PS released.
But hey remember when Square was supporting the N64? This was after the release of PSX and they planned to make their RPGs using CDs. That means at one point the use of CDs for N64 was possible and most likely a topic floating around the Nintendo offices. Like I said, I wont really get into this too much because it's impossible to know for sure unless you talked to the people that made the decisions, but there is really no need to act like a condescending asshole and try to prove me wrong over something you're not sure about. And for the record, I do know what I'm talking about, as I've backed up everything I've said with credible sources.
