(1)So we can expect the same percentage sells???? I mean, not the same number, but percentage in comparison with the # of ps3 sales??? (2) xD LOL!!!! (3)2.79M out of 19.71M don't seem to large for me :s (4)Really???? Damn i guess is a really BIG one. (5) Well, this game is supposed to be bundled too, right? But i mean, if people already played the first one, what would encourage them to buy the 2nd???
I guess time will tell |
1. No. Gears of War had in insane attach ratio like 36% at the time of its release. No game could hope to match that, unless it released in a similar situation to Gears of War (the first "true" next-gen game released on a tiny ~5 million install base).
2. It's true! :P
3. Yeah, but that's still a larger portion of the ps3's fanbase than the 360's fanbase that we know probably won't be into shooters.
4. Call of Duty 4 certainly didn't sell because of the success of Call of Duty 3. It sold because it was a damn good game, and as a result had great word of mouth long after release.
5. Yeah, but probably not near to the exent of MotorStorm. MotorStorm was bundled with the 80gb ps3 for months in NA, and at the time the 80b ps3 made up 60% of the ps3's sales in NA. And that's not including the European bundles. The only other game that has been bundled in NA since has been MGS4, and only for a couple of months.
And I don't see why the first would really impact the sale of the sequel. Most hardcore gamers would see that the sequel is obviously a much superior game, and most of your madden/gta guys (last gen casuals, as I like to call them, lol), probably wouldn't have even known the game was bad, and it shouldn't effect their opinion of the sequel. And if they did, they probably don't remember much from a four year old game.
Plus, you're acting like everybody played the first, lol.
