Haze was initially very hardcore, centered on Iraq, then Ubisoft made it all futuristic
A former Free Radical employee has revealed that HAZE was originally a very hardcore development and was very political in its nature. At the beginning, it was set in modern day Iraq with 'bush bashing' but got re-written a lot of times on Ubisoft's request and turned out to be a futuristic title and something totally unrelated.
