It's kind of inevitable, though, because Nintendo's games sell in such tremendous quantities that it's literally baffling. I mean, look at the top nine Wii games - top eight if you don't count Wii Sports. They've all sold more than five million copies and they're all individual SKUs that are tracked by the NPD. Wii Play alone is the best-selling single SKU to ever be tracked in the United States. Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii are actually on track to top it sometime this year. Is that not terrifying?

All I'm saying is that this statistic is doubly skewed because the Wii's top ten curb stomps the top ten of the other two systems combined (a situation which will worsen by the end of this year), and that the Wii is the go-to system for releasing shovelware. This statistic is neither surprising nor worrisome.
