Just2Fresh said: Hmmmm I can definitely see the Ps3 catching up to the 360 this year ESPECIALLY with a price cut...this is mainly due to many speculations I have that the 360 has reached its limit(Graphically) where as the Ps3 has yet to be tapped into...leading me to believe the 360's days are numbered and they are going to have to bring out another system soon...as for the Wii I still dont consider that system a NEXT GEN machine...It has an innovative controller but I feel that with its outdated graphics and its ridiculous mini game bundles that are the "craze" for some reason and its non-appeal to us "hardcore" gamers its not a real next gen console...thats my opinion this Next Gen war to me is between Ps3 and Xbox 360...Il keep the Wii back last Gen with the Ps2...also Wii sales might slow down due to the lack of 3rd party support for the system...if you look at the charts all games that are selling well on the Wii are NINTENDO 1st party titles...3rd party games sell way better on the 360 and Ps3... |
Don't worry, a few months on this forum and you won't make mistakes like this post again (either because you've learned or banned). But man, did you manage to get a lot wrong in just a single post.
1) NEXT gen is not here yet. We have the current gen.
2) What you think belongs to this gen is completely irrelevant. Generations are based on time, not on capacity of the systems. Wii is current gen, together with 360 and PS3 and therefore competes for roughly the same customers and 3rd party investments. And oh yeah: the Wii is winning big time.
3) If you seriously consider Wii in the PS2 gen then you must accept the fact that gaming is in an incredible decline.
4) According to NPD the Wii sold MORE 3RD PARTY GAMES than 360 or PS3 in November and December. That the best selling games are by Nintendo doesn't mean a thing. It's sales companies care about, not raking on a list.
5) MORE 3rd party Wii games are coming, not less. Which is obvious, since Wii is winning the console war.
6) For years now people are claiming PS3 is massively stronger than 360, however we haven't really seen the evidence, often the contrary, of this. Maybe some 1st party games look mildly better than 360 ones, but the difference you suggest is ridiculous.
