If Sony drops the price of the PS3 by $100 they will have to have each new PS3 owner buy how many games? 10-15? Where do you expect all these poor customers who would put off a year+ of being able to play a PS3 just so they can save $100 to come from? All the people that will be waiting for the price drop instead of just picking up a PS3 because of the games and other features will not be profitable for Sony. They might as well keep the price high. No incentive for a price drop. Who cares about "winning" or sales figures. It's about the bottom line.
