Well ilovetogame, I agree with you on controllers and most of your post.
I just thought aI would point out a couple things about the discs. 1. a good reason why they didn't use "straight DVDs' is for piracy prevention moreso than aesthetics. Also, 1.5 Gigs of space was plenty for all games last gen. The best looking/running game was Resident Evil for Gamecube, Nothing else touched it. The fanboy/biased media didn't want to talk about that either.
In theory they made the right choice with it. To me the failure of the Gamecube was not Nintendo's fault it was due to Media/Journalist bias and Consumer ignorance on a massive scale.
Ahh I remember banning people from playing my Gamecube and berating them for buying a PS2, and told them to go play it instead. Only problem was they didn't want to. F 'em.
