The only reason I mentioned it is because I read a post right before that, that said the Wii had Japanese support locked up. And IGN said it was a new game, but being it's release date is in two months it's likely just a port. I'm not excited to play, but only for the fact that it will be bought and thus make the charts interesting. And I do not play these games for the story. I've read Romance of the Three Kingdoms, I know this isn't anywhere else accurate (talking about all Koei games) The two to three mintue cutscene that losely tie things together are not what I'd call good story. |
Calling the Romance of the Three Kingdoms accurate in of itself is pretty funny.
It was a fictionalized account of actual history.
Like the games.
As for the storytelling. It's just about as good as most games... including some which people call "cinematic" in nature.
They establish the characters, show you what's going on... and if you know anything about the history or fictionalized history that's all you need... and that's who the game was made for.
It'd be annoying if you had to sit through long dialogue about stuff you already knew about.
