"Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli estimated that the Crysis developer's next game engine will be out by 2012. Unsurprisingly, the new CryEngine will attempt to improve both the quality and quantity of assets on screen even more -- three to five times more than CryEngine 2, according to Yerli. Yerli also believes this new engine's release will coincide with the next generation of consoles (the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720, as he called them) and a "renaissance of graphics programming."
