Because NPD confirmed Sony shipment numbers for LBP? Sony themselves said VGC was off by no less than 500,000 units (1.3m shipped by EoY vs. 1.8m tracked). Most likely 100-300k lower in sales, due to units sitting on retailer shelves.
So that'd greatly reduce LBP's December sellthrough numbers, while MK vs. DC may be a little higher - 10-15%.
Maybe Brett just wanted to give the Sony fans some love, and it fell through.
