 Oh come on! LBP was not bundled to the extent VP was. It was just an official bundle, not a praticaly forced bundle like VP, Kung Fu Panda, Indiana Jones, Motorstorm (a couple of months back). I like to think that a good game sells well regardless of platform, but this just isn't the case. Look at Valkyria Chronicles and No more Heroes. 

It is just a intuative belief that LBP wouldn't have sold as well if it was a Wii or 360 exclusive. I can not prove this. For that I am very sorry.
