@johann, thanks. i think rinoa was everything squall wasnt, out going,expressive and somewhat insocent, that is what i think her purpose was to complete squall's personality. as for yuna she was like squall in keeping her emotions inside her and not good at showing what she wanted or how to get it, and yuna was the opposite of tidus. so for each example the woman/love interest completed the leading man.
