Is Square Enix making a mistake releasing FFXIII and FFXIII Verses......?

Is Square Enix making a mistake releasing FFXIII and FFXIII Verses in the same year, in Japan? Wouldn't it be wiser to have at least a year between releases to make the fans hungryer for more, so they don't get burned out?
